Privacy policy

This page explains what personal information Les Gets Bike School collects, why, how long we keep it and your rights (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).

Who is responsible

What we collect and why

• Bookings and gift vouchers: your name, email address and phone number; for group lessons, each rider’s name, age and riding level; anything you choose to tell us in the notes (which may include health information). We need this to provide the lesson safely and to contact you about it (performance of the contract).
• Your acceptance of the terms of sale and of the participation declaration, with the date (legal obligation and proof).
• Orders and payments: amounts, dates and payment method, kept as accounting records (legal obligation). Card and PayPal details are handled by Stripe and PayPal: we never see or store them.
• Emails we send you: booking confirmation, reminder the day before, and after an online booking a single thank-you email asking for a review (our legitimate interest). Just reply to tell us if you don’t want it.

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who sees it

• The instructor(s) teaching your lesson (name, phone, riders, notes).
• Our service providers, only for what they do for us: Hostinger (website hosting, EU), Stripe and PayPal (payments), Google (instructors’ calendars), and our email provider.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU (for example in the United States); they do so under the safeguards required by the GDPR (European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).

How long we keep it

• Notes about a booking (which may include health information): 12 months after the lesson.
• Bookings, riders and gift vouchers: 10 years, then anonymised (accounting records); amounts are kept.
• Orders: unpaid or failed orders are deleted after 1 month, cancelled ones after 12 months; completed and refunded orders are anonymised after 10 years.
• Customer accounts not used for 3 years are deleted.

Cookies

The website uses cookies needed for it to work (your basket, your language choice). The YouTube video and the Google map on our pages may set their own cookies; the cookie banner lets you choose. You can also delete cookies in your browser at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy (portability). Write to info@lesgetsbikeschool.com; we reply within one month. Bookings still to come, and information we must keep for accounting, cannot be deleted until the lesson has taken place or the legal period has ended.

If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr.
